About
WHAT'S A BLANKET HOLE?
It’s that place where you’re finally home, warm, and covered in cats.
In college, I used to nap on my couch every afternoon like a good little overachiever.
But one day, close to graduation, I woke up fully freaking out.
What was gonna happen next? Where would I wind up? How am I supposed to cope with all this icky *uncertainty*?
But then I realized something.
As long as I had a blanket hole - my own little cozy place to nap on the couch, it was gonna be ok. In the blanket hole, I could always find my peace again.

I'm allergic to everything, so they're hypoallergenic
I only use 100% hypo-allergenic pure cotton yarn.
I (Jenni) am allergic to everything. I have literally had doctor's appointments where I was informed I was reacting to my own skin.
I don't eat gluten, dairy, eggs, or oil. I don't put store bought cosmetics on my skin. I can't "have a cheat day" or mess up, because it ruins my health.
I wanted to make something that would HELP my over-reactive body instead of hurting it.
If it's good enough for me, I hope it's also good enough for you.
Hypoallergenic is how I live my life (or else 😵), and it's why I chose cotton.
Pure cotton is anti-microbial, and it repels animal hair all on its own (no chemicals needed!)
Cotton also gets softer with each wash. Plus, it stays breathable and odor-resistant for life.
Polyester makes me sneeze, so they're 100% natural
Polyester is pretty rough on the environment, and pretty rough on our bodies.
If you go ahead and google it (I'll wait...) You'll find out that it's made of oil, it releases microplastics whenever you wash it, and it has a tendency to aggravate sensitive skin...
Which explains why it always makes me sneeze and feels so ITCHY (despite being made into a soft fluffy blanket...wtf??)
A lot of so-called cotton thread out there is actually a hybrid of cotton and POLYESTER.
I didn't want that. If it's not good enough for me, then why would I sell it to you?
I chose to have each blanket made with 100% pure cotton thread. No sneaky extra fibers, no microplastics, and no chemical coating.
Dusty warehouses are gross, so these are made to order
Your blanket is WOVEN for you when you order -- it's not sitting in some dusty warehouse waiting to be bought.
It's made just for you. One at a time, on the spot, in the USA.
By a human.
There is a weaving machine involved, but without it, your item would take WEEKS and be a $500+ custom job.
Because your blanket is made for you, that means every purchase supports sustainable inventory practices. So thank you for helping me be kind to the environment!
Big Box decor is basic. Let's not be that.
Have you ever walked into a friends' place, looked around and instantly knew that everything was from Target/Ikea?
Studies increasingly show that your environment hugely affects your productivity, mood, and behavior.
Do you want yours to be "big box basic"?
I couldn't stand being surrounded by what everyone else had...But I couldn't afford crazy custom stuff.
Instead of trying to buy my way out of basic 😂 I decided that the things I use and see most are what really matters.
What's on the couch I use every day? What do I see when I first wake up in the morning?
That's why I started making blankets:
𖤐 They're useful
𖤐 I can put them anywhere
𖤐 They make a big difference in the look of a space
𖤐 They don't cost as much as a couch
Buy from a midwestern goth girl instead of a company
I draw each blanket design on my iPad. I'm usually sitting on the couch with my 5 cats.
I have a habit of feeding all the neighborhood animals -- from feral cats, to raccoons, to possums.
Basically, if you wanna support the opposite of corporate greed, I'm here for you 😉
IT DOESN'T GET MORE SMALL BUSINESS THAN THIS...
